The Football Club

The tradition of a soccer match between past and present pupils was established in the 1860s. The fixtures were regularly reported in the Annals, leading to the formation of an OA Football Club in 1887. This was a loose arrangement, being formally organised with the formation of the OA Association in 1906.

The club has used many grounds throughout its history; 1909 in Wimbledon, 1919 in Putney, 1935 in Thornton Heath, Norbury, 1946 Eden Park in Beckenham, 1955 in Sidcup, 1957 in Chislehurst 1959 in Cheam, 1973 in Kingsbury and in 1974 Whiteley Village near Weybridge, in Surrey.

We are always looking for new players of all abilities who would like to represent their old school for the odd friendly game or in the full Arthurian League competition. If you are interested please visit www.oafc.moonfruit.com/ or email pnogriffin@gmail.com
